Terms of service

Effective date: 25 September 2026

These Terms of Service govern your purchase and use of software products, plugins, extensions, and related services (“Products”) sold or provided by Avastorm Oy (“we”, “us”, “Avastorm”). By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using a Product, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Parties

The agreement is between you (“Customer”, “you”) and Avastorm Oy, a company registered in Finland (Business ID: FI34558256).

Contact: info@avastorm.com

2. Product License

2.1 What you receive

Depending on the Product and plan you purchase, you may receive a license key or other authorization that provides access to product updates, support, premium features, or other services for the applicable license period.

Where a Product is distributed under the GNU General Public License v2 (GPL-2.0) or another open-source license, your rights to the underlying software are governed by that license.

2.2 License key

Where a Product requires a license key, the license key is intended for use by the Customer and is subject to the number of websites, installations, users, or other limits specified in the applicable Product or pricing plan.

You may not share, resell, or sublicense your license key outside your organization unless expressly permitted by the applicable license terms.

2.3 Open-source software

Where a Product is distributed under the GPL or another open-source license, expiry or cancellation of a commercial license does not remove rights granted to you under that open-source license.

For example, where GPL-licensed software is involved, you may continue to use, modify, and run the applicable software in accordance with the GPL. Expiry of a commercial license may, however, end access to services such as automatic updates, premium features, or support.

3. Payment and Renewal

3.1 Pricing

Prices for Products are displayed on the applicable Avastorm website or product pricing page in Euros (EUR), unless otherwise stated.

Prices may change from time to time. Changes to pricing do not affect a subscription that has already been paid for until its next renewal, unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.

3.2 Subscriptions

Some Products are offered as annual or other recurring subscriptions.

Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel automatic renewal at any time through your account or by contacting us.

Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You will continue to have access to the applicable Product or services until that period ends, unless otherwise stated.

3.3 Taxes

Applicable VAT and other taxes are handled in accordance with applicable law.

If you are a VAT-registered business within the European Union, you may be asked to provide your valid VAT number when purchasing a Product.

You are responsible for any taxes or charges that may apply to your purchase in your jurisdiction.

4. Refund Policy

If a Product does not work in your setup, contact us at info@avastorm.com within 14 days of your original purchase. If your purchase qualifies for the guarantee, we will issue a full refund.

Refunds may not be available after the applicable refund period, for renewal payments that have already been processed, or in cases involving fraud, abuse, or evident misuse of the refund policy.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory statutory consumer rights that apply to you.

5. Updates and Support

5.1 Updates

An active license for a Product may entitle you to receive product updates during the applicable license period.

We do not guarantee any particular update schedule. We may update Products to improve functionality, security, compatibility, performance, or other aspects of the Product.

5.2 Support

Where support is included with your purchase or license, support is provided primarily by email at info@avastorm.com.

We aim to respond to support requests within 2 business days, but response times are not guaranteed.

Support generally covers installation, configuration, and problems directly related to the Product.

Unless otherwise agreed, support does not include:

• Custom software development
• Customization of the Product
• Third-party plugin or software conflicts
• Hosting or server administration
• Problems caused by unsupported modifications
• Problems caused by third-party services or infrastructure

5.3 Compatibility

We make reasonable efforts to maintain compatibility with supported platforms, software versions, and environments stated for each Product.

However, we do not guarantee compatibility with every operating system, hosting environment, theme, plugin, extension, third-party service, or software configuration.

Third-party software and services may change in ways that affect the functionality or compatibility of our Products.

6. Acceptable Use

You may use our Products for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and any applicable Product-specific license terms.

You may not:

• Use a Product in violation of applicable laws or regulations.
• Use a Product on more websites, installations, or accounts than permitted by your license or plan.
• Share or publicly distribute license keys or other credentials provided for your use.
• Attempt to circumvent license restrictions or technical limitations.
• Use our Products to facilitate unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or malicious activities.
• Remove or misrepresent applicable copyright, licensing, or attribution information where such information is required by the applicable open-source license.
• Represent our Products or modified versions of our Products as original software created entirely by you when doing so would violate applicable licensing or intellectual property rights.

7. Intellectual Property

Except where otherwise stated, Avastorm Oy owns or licenses the intellectual property rights relating to our Products, including our trademarks, logos, websites, documentation, designs, and other proprietary materials.

Where a Product or part of a Product is distributed under an open-source license such as GPL-2.0, your rights to that software are determined by the applicable open-source license.

Open-source licensing does not grant you rights to use Avastorm’s trademarks, logos, product names, or other brand assets except as expressly permitted.

8. Third-Party Software and Services

Our Products may integrate with or depend on third-party software, platforms, APIs, services, or infrastructure.

Third-party services are generally subject to their own terms and policies. Avastorm is not responsible for changes, interruptions, limitations, or failures of third-party services that affect the functionality of a Product.

Where a Product requires a third-party service, you are responsible for maintaining any required third-party account, subscription, credentials, or permissions.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our Products and related services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not warrant that a Product will:

• Be completely error-free;
• Be continuously available;
• Work in every environment or configuration;
• Meet your specific requirements; or
• Remain compatible with all third-party software or services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits mandatory statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including applicable consumer protection rights under Finnish or European Union law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Avastorm’s total liability arising out of or relating to a Product, purchase, or these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Avastorm for the relevant Product during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Avastorm shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, or data.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the competent court in Finland, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory consumer protection rights and jurisdictional rights granted to you by the laws applicable to your place of residence.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If we make material changes, we may notify you by email, through our website, through your customer account, or by another reasonable means.

The updated Terms will become effective on the date stated in the updated version.

If you continue to use a Product after the updated Terms become effective, the updated Terms will apply to your continued use, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

The invalid or unenforceable provision will be interpreted or replaced to the extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its intended purpose as closely as possible.
